"Why are you wearing that funny coat?" She couldn't help but ask. Diov looked down at himself as though he hadn't noticed anything funny about it at all. "Oh this, yes well, as a scientist and inventor, the expansion of the mind is very important to me." He said, smiling at her. Ruthala waited for him to continue. He didn't. "And? How is this supposed to help?" He frowned, as if was common knowledge and the idea of explaining it was trivial. "By constricting the body, I hope to release my mind further and gain all sorts of profound and unknown knowledge." Ruthala walked with him, as he had begun to move again. "And what profound and unknown things have you learned in so doing?"
He shrugged. "Mostly that I have trouble breathing, this thing is terribly itchy, and I find it incredibly difficult to relieve myself." Ruthala laughed. He quirked his head at her, still smiling.

1. I'm French, not German, and Gothic plaitmaille is german.

2. What the heck would a welder have to do with armour?

3. You can always look on the internet like everyone else.[link]

This is a fantistic resource at a glance, as it showcases both Italian and German armour designs, at their peak. They are both fundamentally the same, but obviously very different when you examine them.
:iconryvienna:
I know a welder that makes armor in his free time. I think you'd like him.

...don't get so defensive with me. I haven't poke fun at you since you said you were going off to fight a bear with armor and a spear.

Sorry, I apologize, just having a rough day and I took it out on you (and everyone else)
:iconryvienna:
It's alright.. I know how you feel. All of the damn people in this god-forsaken town keeps calling me either "emo" or "vamp." I'm NOT a gay, sparkly vampire or a cheap, bad imitation of goth DAMN-IT!!!

~sigh~

Best thing I could tell you, or anyone, is to look at real suits of armour, examine how they were made and how they work together. the best armour of all is Gothic High German Plaitmaille, but that's just my opinion.
:iconryvienna:
Well, every civilization thinks their armor is better.

..sigh... Real suits of armor are difficult to come-by, I'll have to hunt down my welder friend and see if he can show me a few of his samples.
